What is the Listening to the Earth Movement?
The Listening to the Earth movement is an invitation to collectively tune into the wisdom & power of Nature during key political occasions on the environment. Listen to the origin story.
Why Listen to the Earth?
This movement is inspired by the realisation that to restore the health of our planet, we need to be guided not only by our heads and scientific knowledge, but also by our hearts and the consciousness of our inter-connectedness with the Earth. We also need to draw from the power that comes from minds and hearts connecting with one another for a common purpose in a spirit of love and compassion.
The change we need to see requires policies to be energized by environmental activism and guided by the . It is time to bring the three together.
How do we invite listening to the Earth in key political discussions?
One of the key offerings of the Listening to the Earth movement are moments of “mindful connection to the Earth” during key political events on climate and the environment. These come as short guided meditations and "COP cards" which can be used to open meetings or offer oneself a moment of self-care
These moments are intended to help delegates relax tressful events and are an invitation for delegates to tune in to the wisdom of the Earth as they take or influence decisions that impact billions of lives around the world, human and non-human.
